Welcome, dear friends! Today we propose a walk in Bacoli, more precisely to the Casina Vanvitelliana located on Lake Fusaro, of which we provide a brief description taken from the Pro Loco di Bacoli website
The Royal Casino Borbonico del Fusaro is a splendid jewel of late Baroque architecture. It was built in 1782 by the architect Carlo Vanvitelli (1739 – 1821), son of the famous Luigi (the author of the Royal Palace of Caserta) commissioned by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon (1751 – 1825), King of the Kingdom of Naples. The residence occupies a small outcrop of land inside Lake Fusaro and was used as a resting place after the King's hunting and fishing trips.
The Casina Vanvitelliana is home until May 4th of the Monumentini exhibition where the works of the artist Luca Petraglia are exhibited, who has reproduced some of the most important Italian monuments with the use of tens if not hundreds of thousands of bricks for each monument, such as Giotto's Bell Tower, the Trevi Fountain, San Carlo Theater. Here you will find the link for more details.
Let's now move on to our photos, starting from the exterior of the Casina and the surrounding park, where we also find a wagon used to transport Jews to Auschwitz; out of respect, it is requested not to take photographs of this relic and we have complied with this indication:

We cross the small bridge and enter the Circular Room on the ground floor:

From this point on, the small monuments are those hosted on the first floor of the Casina, which is not accessible to us; that's the reason why we want to show them to you:

What a job, right? If you want to see these works in person and maybe even take a walk around, we remind you that the exhibition closes on May 4th and that from the INDEX OF POSTS you can find the other posts we have dedicated to the Phlegrean Fields.
SEE YOU NEXT TIME!!
