Amalfi and Minori: around with the chair

Here it is, the wonderful Amalfi Coast: beautiful in any season (what is a sunny winter day on the Coast !!), so you can choose the month and day in which to visit it wisely, avoiding the periods of greatest clogging and calmly enjoying the view with a few stops at the various viewpoints that meet along the way.

Let's start by parking the car in the most comfortable way: there is a car park, the Luna Rossa, which is located along the state road 163 of the Amalfi coast, where the municipality of Atrani begins. This car park has a covered walkway that leads directly to the center of Amalfi; it is also equipped with a certain number of free places for the disabled (subject to availability) as well as equipped toilets (for a fee). Once we arrive at the center (*) of Amalfi, we will discover that it is mostly accessible by wheelchair, even in the characteristic alleys with the shops of typical products; we can visit the Arsenale Museum (*), full of interesting historical artifacts in a suggestive environment, stroll along the seafront, admire the Cathedral of S. Andrea, unfortunately inaccessible for us, and go shopping or stop in some bars.

For lunch we suggest: Da Maria (*): Via Lorenzo D'Amalfi 14, Amalfi 089 871880 www.amalfitrattoriadamaria.com Cantina del Nostromo - Zaccaria: Via Cristoforo Colombo 9, Amalfi 089 871807 http://ristorante-cantina-del-nostromo.business.site (restaurant without toilets for the disabled; the services of the Luna Rossa car park which is located right in front of the restaurant entrance can be used) After lunch you can get back in your car towards Minori, a town whose center (*) is easily accessible, as is the seafront; the Roman Villa can be partially observed from above, while the Antiquarium, with the finds found in the villa, is accessible by chair. But people also come to Minori for the sins of gluttony to commit in the famous pastry shop of Sal De Riso: who can, get busy ... (*) symbol indicating the presence of toilets for the disabled

And if the day is particularly beautiful and you want to indulge in a romantic digression, just go back to Amalfi, pass it and take the road that climbs towards Furore. After a few kilometers we find the indication on the left for Punta Sant'Elia, take it and follow the driveway until it ends. We park the car and take the Walk of Love, about 200m of panoramic pedestrian street, where we will find wonderful views and verses of famous poets written on ceramic tiles: a nice way to crown this Amalfi excursion!
