Where the Hair of Venus is a waterfall ...

Good end of summer everyone! This is a post that may be of particular interest to those who are already in Cilento (to which we have dedicated several posts, in these four years) and are looking for something new and a cool environment, in this torrid summer. We are talking about the Capelli di Venere (Hair of Venus) waterfall, which is located in the municipality of Casaletto Spartano (SA) and is a small jewel of nature, which can be visited for us, even if partially. There is even a dedicated Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Cascata-Capelli-di-Venere-1545404045688496/). The detailed news can be found on the website Il Quotidiano online; here it suffices to say that the name derives from that of a spontaneous fern, the maidenhair fern, which covers and underlines the water jump. The water is that of the Rio Casaletto, a tributary of the Bussento. We add that the waterfalls are an integral part of the Cilento National Park and as such are protected. We went there in 2013, today you have to pay an entrance ticket that also entitles you to use the picnic tables; we do not know if, given the limited possibility of use on our part (we can look out from the bridge and admire the waterfall) we will be given free access. Let's start with the images:

How about? The place is beautiful and evocative, and who knows if in these eight years the Park Authority has not taken steps to make at least one bank of the river accessible. Let us know if you go there!
