Here we are again, after the Easter holidays, to tell a story of a work also created to allow the mobility impaired to take advantage of a landscape asset by overcoming various barriers and obstacles. We are talking about the Vesuvius National Park, and in particular of the re-establishment of Path 11, a path equipped with wooden walkways and explanatory signs, which can be traveled with wheelchairs; the path had been damaged by the fires of 2017 and was reopened to the public on March 30 of this 2022 which we hope will lead to a resumption of tourism, including accessible tourism, despite the terrible war of aggression against Ukraine that anguishes us and worries everyone. It must be said that the Vesuvius Park has created 10 other trails, some of which reach the top of the volcano, but which are suitable for experienced and "able-bodied" hikers, although many dispute this term. We intend in the future to examine some of them to verify if there are any partially feasible ones for us, but in any case we are pleased to highlight how important and significant this first small step is. For our part we add that the Path 11 is located within the municipality of Terzigno; in the Vesuvian town there are also the Emblema Museum, a stone's throw from the Path, which we have not yet been able to visit, and the MATT (Territorial Archaeological Museum of Terzigno), to which we dedicated a post in June 2020.
