A little cool in Molise?

For this first "encroachment" from Campania we have chosen something different from the usual itineraries: we are talking about the Montedimezzo Nature Reserve. https://www.riservamabaltomolise.it The Reserve is located in the territory of the municipality of Vastogirardi, in the province of Isernia; it is one of the many reserves that in the past were created and managed by the State Forestry Corps, now merged into the Carabinieri. http://www.carabinieri.it/arma/oggi/organizzazione/organizzazione-per-la-tutela-forestale-ambientale-e-agroalimentare/utcb-e-le-130-riserve-naturali/utcb-di-isernia/monte-di-mezzo Some reserves have been equipped with routes suitable for people with motor disabilities; in Montedimezzo the Colle San Biagio path has been set up (939 meters above sea level; 1.9 km of path with minimal gradients, compatible with the use of wheelchairs and electric scooters). Along the path, totally shaded and therefore very fresh, there are also picnic areas with tables suitable for people in wheelchairs.

At the reserve it is possible to visit a naturalistic museum, without architectural barriers; there are toilets equipped for the disabled. Contrary to what we usually do, we do not recommend restaurants but we suggest you bring something from home for a cool picnic under the trees: in the heat of these days it is truly a pleasure!
